These terms are a contract between you and ringbearer.ai LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company ("ringbearer", "we", "us"), covering your use of ringbearer.ai and the ringbearer app (together, the "service"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
The service
ringbearer is a wedding planning platform: guest lists, seating charts, budgets, vendors, day-of timelines, ceremony planning, and, on some plans, Barb, an AI coordinator.
Your account
You need an account to use the service. You agree to give us accurate information, keep your login credentials to yourself, and be at least 18 years old. You're responsible for everything that happens under your account, including the actions of collaborators you invite.
Plans and billing
Paid plans bill monthly through our payment processor, Stripe, with no long-term contract; you can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. If you downgrade or cancel, your wedding data is not deleted, but features outside your tier (for example, guests beyond the free tier's cap, or Barb) stop being available. We'll give reasonable notice before any pricing change affects you.
Your content
The wedding data you put into ringbearer (guest lists, budgets, notes, schedules, all of it) is yours. You grant us a limited license to host, process, display, and back up that content solely to operate and improve the service. We don't sell it, and we don't claim ownership of it.
Some of what you enter is information about other people: guests' names, contact details, dietary needs. You're responsible for having the right to share that information with us, and for what your invited collaborators do with it.
You can export your guest list to CSV at any time, on any tier.
Barb and AI features
Barb is powered by third-party large language models. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or oddly confident; verify anything that matters (dates, payments, contracts, headcounts) before acting on it. Barb's suggestions are not legal, financial, or professional advice. When Barb proposes changes to your wedding data, you approve them; you're responsible for the changes you approve.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, upload malicious code, scrape or overload the service, resell access, or attempt to reverse-engineer it. Don't enter other people's personal information without the right to do so. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Our property
The service itself (the software, design, name, and content we created) belongs to us and our licensors. These terms don't give you any rights to it beyond using the service as intended.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, if we're required to by law, or if we discontinue the service, in which case we'll make reasonable efforts to give you notice and a chance to export your data.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that Barb will always be right. Your wedding is important; keep your own copies of anything critical.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. If a change is material, we'll notify you, by email or in the app, before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of these terms or the service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
